Evan S. Melrose, M.D., MBA is a healthcare executive, investor, and physician with more than 25 years of experience in healthcare investing, operations, and corporate leadership. He is the Founding Managing Director of Spindletop Capital and has held leadership roles at PTV Sciences and Burrill & Company. Dr. Melrose has served on the boards of numerous public and private healthcare companies, including Bioventus, Castle Biosciences, and Intersect ENT. A physician by training, he has held academic appointments at the University of California, San Francisco, University of Pennsylvania, and Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Melrose earned a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, an M.D. from Indiana University School of Medicine, and an MBA from The Wharton School.
